Chocolate Chips. Coconut. Chia Seeds. Craisins.
These granola bars taste like the should be VERY bad for you. My kids devour them and I have to remind myself to only eat one! I prefer storing these in the freezer as the soften very quickly.
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
- 2 cups oats
- 1/2 tsp sea or himalayan salt
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/3 cup chia seeds
- 1/3 cup shredded coconut
- 1/3 cup craisins
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
In a large bowl combine the cocoa powder, oats, chia seeds, and shredded coconut. In a smaller bowl combine the maple syrup, peanut butter, and coconut oil. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds to combine all ingredients smoothly.
Pour the wet ingredients over the dry and mix completely.
Stir in the craisins and the chocolate chips.
Put saran wrap in a 9×13 inch pan and then pour in the mixture. Flatten out and then place into the freezer for 30 minutes.
Cut into 14 bars and then store in the freezer.
